Joshua Dobbs will start, Worley ruled out at South Carolina

Tennessee sophomore Joshua Dobbs will start at quarterback in tonight’s game against South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium. According to the Vols’ official injury report, senior Justin Worley (shoulder) will not dress tonight. Nathan Peterman will be the No. 2 quarterback and former Massachusetts transfer Mike Wegzyn will be third on the depth chart.
Dobbs recorded 268 yards (192 passing, 75 rushing) and two touchdowns after entering on Tennessee’s third offensive possession against Alabama last weekend. Facing a 20-0 deficit, the Vols outscored the Tide 20-14 for the remainder of the game, despite losing 34-20.
Guard Marcus Jackson (knee) is expected to play, according to the team’s injury report. Several players ruled out for tonight’s game include: defensive tackle Trevarris Saulsberry (knee); right tackle Coleman Thomas (high-ankle sprain); receiver Josh Smith (high-ankle sprain).
