One of the nation’s top prospects for the 2020 recruiting cycle may already be committed but it’s clear five-star Paris Johnson Jr. is keeping his options open heading into his senior season in high school.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pound Johnson is currently rated as the top offensive tackle prospect in the country and the No. 4 overall prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. While he’s been committed to Ohio State since June, the Ohio native continues to head south to evaluate his options as the Buckeyes are moving on in the post-Urban Meyer era in Columbus.

For the second time in a span of six weeks, Johnson visited Rocky Top for an unofficial visit to campus. This time, however, Johnson was joined by two fellow elite Ohio prospects in four-star defensive lineman Darrion Henry and four-star linebacker Jaheim Thomas. The fact that Johnson continues to evaluate his options in Knoxville has to be promising for a Tennessee program looking to continue to build off the momentum the program captured by landing arguably the nation’s top offensive line class in the country in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Following his latest trip to Tennessee, Johnson took to social media with a tweetstorm of support for the Volunteers:

Turns out Knoxville wasn’t the only stop of the weekend for Johnson as the nation’s top offensive tackle made his way to Athens before heading back home to Ohio. Led by Sam Pittman, who many regard as the nation’s best offensive line coach, Georgia should have the best offensive line in the SEC, if not the nation, next season and would only get better looking ahead to 2020 if the Bulldogs managed to land a player of Johnson’s potential.

Johnson also shared these images following his trip to Athens and made sure to tag Pittman and Georgia’s official Twitter account in his post:

While Johnson may be currently listed as an Ohio State “commit” in the program’s 2020 class, there’s no doubt Tennessee and Georgia at least have his attention this spring. This is a recruitment that could be far from over and fans of both SEC programs may want to keep track of which spring games Johnson attends in the coming weeks. That could be a sign of where Johnson is currently leaning as the Tennessee (April 13) and Georgia (April 20) spring games do not conflict, meaning Johnson could potentially attend both games.

Important note for Vol fans, Ohio State’s spring game is April 13, so if Johnson were to be in Knoxville and not Columbus, that would definitely be noteworthy here.
