Offseason in the SEC can turn up some weird stories, and the curious case of Tennessee receiver Josh Smith may have just gotten resolved.

Late last month, it was reported that an altercation involving the Tennessee receiver and his male roommate could cost him nearly $1 million in damages, but now it appears that he could be off the hook.

Jimmy Hyams, a Knoxville radio show host who previously reported the alleged lawsuit details, now says that it has been dismissed.

The incident appears to be a case of typical college mischief gone wrong, as Smith, Kennedy Foster (the plaintiff), and their third roommate had been celebrating in the apartment for Cinco De Mayo.

The stories vary from there, but regardless the end result was the same: Smith allegedly kicked Foster in the face multiple times, which his attorney claims led to a broken nose and broken teeth as well as damage to his eyes and right ear.

The circumstances regarding the dismissal are not known at this time, but it appears that Smith can move on from this event and continue his football career without having to worry about this incident.
