The Tennessee Volunteers cruised to a 12-point win over Florida on Saturday, but they did it with star PG Jordan Bone at less than 100 percent.
That’s because, in the first half, Bone was slowed by what appeared to be a minor ankle injury. He had it checked out, but eventually returned to the game.
After the victory, coach Rick Barnes spoke about Bone’s injury, saying he didn’t have his usual burst but still turned in a solid effort:
#Vols coach Rick Barnes on Jordan Bone: He tweaked his ankle there in the first half and didn’t have his usual burst in the second half, but he still sees the floor and makes the right play most of the time.

Bone finished with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists — not his best numbers, but he did what the Vols needed him to do in order to win the game.
The Vols have a home game against South Carolina and a road trip to Kentucky this week, so we’ll see if Bone is a full-go for those games.
With the toughest part of the sec slate coming up we need everyone healthy. Gotta have pons and bone as close to 100% as possible. Injuries could be the only thing to stop this team from reaching some historic achievements.
Correction – more historic achievements
Another correction fuzzy- the refs will have an impact too.
Especially against KY. Did you watch how the SEC refs screwed the Magnolia state Bulldogs?
