Thirsty Tennessee fans may not have to wear their tighty whities when they plan to visit Neyland Stadium much longer as the school’s Alcohol Policy Task Force has made a recommendation that could clear the next hurdle to legally sell alcohol for on-campus sporting events.

Vice Chancellor for Student Life Vincent Carilli has issued a report following a lengthy review, which came to the conclusion that alcohol should be sold at all sporting events at the school to people of age that wish to purchase it.

Of the 10 recommendations of the task force, the first three involve the distribution, possession and consumption of alcohol at sporting events on campus.

Following this recommendation, the chancellor’s cabinet will review the findings before issuing their stance on the issue. Potential security issues also need to be worked out by Tennessee before alcohol can be legally sold on campus, according to the task force.
