Tennessee has landed its quarterback to build around in the 2022 recruiting cycle as four-star Indiana prospect Tayven Jackson is officially a Volunteer.

The Center Grove High School standout announced his commitment to Josh Heupel’s Tennessee program on Wednesday. Jackson was the third-highest rated uncommitted quarterback prospect in the country prior to his decision to commit to the Volunteers.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Jackson is rated as the No. 18 pro-style passer in the country in the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jackson is scheduled to officially visit Tennessee in early June after the NCAA recruiting dead period comes to an end.

Jackson committed to Tennessee over scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and UCLA, among others.

Following this news, Tennessee now holds three commitments in the 2022 recruiting cycle as Jackson joins three-star Florida defensive end Venson Sneed and three-star Tennessee linebacker Elijah Herring as pledges to join the Volunteer program.
