For the past three seasons, Tennessee defensive lineman Derek Barnett has been an absolute beast.

He starred as a first-year player — setting multiple freshman school records. Barnett was the first true freshman on the defensive line to start the opener in Tennessee history. He continued this brilliance as a sophomore — notching a double-digit sack total for a second-straight campaign.

This year as a junior, the fiery competitor became the school’s all-time leader in sacks (33) — besting a mark set previously by Hall of Fame member Reggie White.

It comes as no surprise to see Barnett announce his intentions to enter the 2017 NFL Draft:

Unequivocally, Barnett will go down as one of the best to ever wear the orange and white.
