Playing a game at The Swamp in Gainesville is never easy, but the Tennessee Volunteers are ready for the challenge.

This weekend, they’ll take on the Florida Gators in a major SEC East showdown with a chance to take a big step toward a division title.

In order to win on Saturday, the Volunteers know they need to take the Florida crowd out of the game, something players think they are more than capable of doing (via 247Sports):

“I think it’s fun to be able to go into a place,” fifth-year senior offensive tackle Brett Kendrick said earlier this week. “We talk about renting a stadium for four hours or however long it takes for us to get the win.

“But if you can go into a stadium like this, like The Swamp, and you can make it go silent, I think that says a lot about your team.”

Kendrick added that he and the other Tennessee seniors want to finish their final game against the Gators with a big road win:

“My sophomore year we had that 13-point lead and ended up not getting it done,” Kendrick said. “That still has a bad taste in my mouth, and I know the other guys that we were here, (tight end) Ethan (Wolf) and all them, I think we still feel like we have a lot to prove going back down there. So obviously it would be huge for our senior class to get that win down there.”

Saturday afternoon’s big game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on CBS.
