Tennessee fans are, uh, not thrilled with first-half performance against UMass
Saturday was supposed to be a day when Tennessee coach Butch Jones took some pressure off himself with an easy win over UMass.
Instead, the Vols were shut out until late in the second quarter, when RB John Kelly scored on a 12-yard run.
Penalties, a missed field goal and poor play-calling hurt the Vols in the first half, but they still neared halftime with a narrow 7-6 lead over the 0-4 Minutemen.
Needless to day, fans weren’t happy with the Vols or Jones, sounding off on Twitter as they watched their team struggle.
Here are just a few of many tweets expressing displeasure for Tennessee’s disappointing first-half performance:
Guarantano: yay! We are going to kill Umass so I'll get to play the whole 2nd half!
Dormady: Here, hold my beer.

Hey Vols, I get a kiss from my wife after every touchdown. It's always been a tradition……and one I would appreciate doing today please.

The guy from Charter just showed up to update my services, and I’ve never been so happy to have to turn a Vols game off.
