Cedric Tillman was a high-profile absence for Tennessee on Saturday against Florida, but the wide receiver wasn’t the only player out for the Vols.

In addition to Tillman, Tennessee will be without starting cornerback Warren Burrell, freshman running back Dylan Sampson, linebacker Kwauze Garland and cornerback/punt returner Dee Williams for Saturday’s SEC opener, GoVols247 reported. However, running back Jabari Small is available as one of just 3 scholarship backs the Vols have to face Florida.

Tillman is out because of an ankle injury, and it’s a blow to the high-powered Tennessee attack. Tillman entered the season as the most productive returning receiver in the SEC and in 3 games this season, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Tillman had 17 catches for 246 yards and a touchdown.

Sampson (ankle) has 18 carries for 89 yards and 3 touchdowns rushing this season.

Small is dealing with a right arm/shoulder problem.

Burrell is dealing with a shoulder injury and did not play last week. He’s started 22 games for the Vols, and is Tennessee’s most experienced cornerback. Garland is still dealing with an apparent shoulder injury suffered against Ball State.
