Tennessee has some key spots that need to be filled on its roster ahead of the 2022 season, so coach Josh Heupel is dipping his toes in the transfer portal.

On Sunday, the Vols landed a key commitment from a former Georgia Tech defensive back.

As you can see below, Wesley Walker — a native of Nashville — took to Twitter to reveal he was heading back to the Volunteer State for the 2022 season:

In 3 years at Georgia Tech, Walker recorded 95 tackles (2 for a loss), 6 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

How he fares on Rocky Top in 2022 and beyond remains to be seen, but he has the experience to compete right away for a starting job in the Vols’ secondary.
