The Volunteers had a solid performance in the early signing period under new coach Jeremy Pruitt, and Tennessee is making a push to potentially flip a RB recruit in February.

Nathanael Rutherford with Rocky Top Insider shared that Georgia Tech commit C’borius Flemister was expected to sign with the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday but will now wait until February to sign. According to an article from Rivals’ JacketsOnline cited by Rutherford, Flemister is delaying his signing because of increased interest from Tennessee.

“Tennessee is why I’m not signing,” Flemister told JacketsOnline. “They are the other school involved now.”

Flemister is listed as a 3-star RB by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings out of Zebulon, Georgia. He has put up impressive numbers in high school, rushing for 1,771 yards and 24 TDs as a senior. Flemister would help add depth to an already impressive backfield for Tennessee.

Flemister may simply be waiting to make sure that GT is the right destination for him, but it is definitely an interesting note that he is delaying his signing now that Tennessee is showing interesting.
