Tennessee reportedly suspends freshman for not applying himself off the field
Butch Jones is changing the culture of Tennessee football one player at a time.
To be a part of the Vols’ football team, Jones will ensure that players are giving maximum effort to make the program better at all times, even off the field.
And if a player’s not, he just may find himself suspended.
Tennessee freshman wide receiver Jocquez Bruce has been suspended from all team functions for that very reason, not applying himself off the field.

To play college football for a big-time program while getting a free education is a very big deal, and Jones is making sure his young freshman realizes that.
