Time to mark your calendar, Tennessee fans, as the Volunteers have announced the date for the upcoming Orange and White Spring Game.

Tennessee announced on Wednesday that the 2020 Orange and White Game will take place on Saturday, April 18 inside Neyland Stadium. The spring game will be the culmination of the program’s 15 spring practices.

Expectations are rising on Rocky Top for Jeremy Pruitt’s program following the team’s 8-5 record last season, which included winning the final six games of the season and seven of their last eight.

Now with the Volunteers entering Year 3 of the Pruitt era, Tennessee fans are expecting closer games against elite competition. The Vols will have their opportunities to do just that with road trips to Oklahoma and Georgia and home dates against Florida and Alabama marking the team’s 2020 schedule.

On the bright side, 2020 will be the second season for both offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley in Knoxville, which will provide continuity and stability that has been lacking on Rocky Top as well as potential jumps in production from several players that will be in the same systems that saw the team have so much success last fall.

Now we know the first public look at that potential will come Saturday, April 18 during Tennessee’s spring game.
