Jeremy Pruitt’s Labor Day is off to a good start as Tennessee’s highest-rated signee of the 2018 recruiting cycle has finally made it to Knoxville.

The biggest offseason recruiting storyline for the Volunteer program has officially come to an end as JJ Peterson has arrived on Rocky Top. Peterson ranked as the nation’s No. 3 outside linebacker and the No. 48 overall prospect in the nation in the previous recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He was delayed entry into school as he needed to finish up some classwork and at Colquitt County High School in Georgia. After completing the necessary work to get into Tennessee, the NCAA then had to clear Peterson. Now that all that has been done, the touted linebacker can join Tennessee’s team at practice.
