Tennessee’s season opener appears to have just gotten tougher.

West Virginia has just announced the addition of a graduate transfer defensive lineman Jabril Robinson. The 6-foot-2, 270-pound Robinson was on Clemson’s roster the previous four seasons.

Robinson is on track to graduate from Clemson this summer and will be eligible immediately for West Virginia, he has one final year of eligibility remaining after he redshirted his true freshman season. He appeared in 11 games last season for the Tigers. This addition only adds to the Mountaineers DL depth as the team landed USC graduate transfer Kenny Bigelow last month. Bigelow was a five-star recruit coming out of high school.

The Vols open the season Saturday, Sept. 1 in Charlotte against West Virginia. Considering Athlon Sports recently named WV quarterback Will Grier as the nation’s best returning QB in 2018, the good news just keeps rolling in for fans of the Vols.
