UCF to Rocky Top? Knights coach Josh Heupel reportedly emerges as top candidate for Tennessee job
The Tennessee Volunteers recently hired former UCF AD Danny White as their new athletic director.
Did they unwittingly sign up for a UCF-to-Tennessee pipeline? According to rumors that are emerging on Tuesday night, UCF’s head coach might be heading to Rocky Top, too.
Per VolQuest.com (video included in the link below), Josh Heupel has emerged as a top candidate to replace the recently fired Jeremy Pruitt:

Heupel has SEC experience, serving as Mizzou’s offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017. His offenses were great. The problem? The Tigers often either scored really quickly or went 3-and-out, putting the defense in tough positions. Mizzou finished last in the SEC in time of possession in both of those seasons under Heupel.
Heupel has gone 28-8 in 3 seasons at UCF.
