Though Tennessee lost star WR Jauan Jennings in the first half of its exciting Week 1 win over Georgia Tech, the Vols could be getting some good news on another receiver.

The redshirt senior missed Week 1 with a sprained shoulder, but based on a catch he made in practice on Wednesday, he could be close to returning.

As you can see in the video below, Smith adjusts to a ball thrown behind him and makes a nice one-handed grab:

Smith made 13 catches for 97 yards and one touchdown while appearing in 12 games in 2016.

With Jennings out with an injured wrist, the Vols need another playmaker to step up. If Smith can fill part of that void, the Tennessee offense can continue to plug along.
