It appears there will be another change coming to the Vanderbilt coaching staff. FootballScoop is reporting that, according to sources, “Vanderbilt offensive line coach Cameron Norcross will join the UNLV offensive staff.”

Norcross is familiar with coaching out west. Prior to joining the Commodores coaching staff in 2016, Norcross coached offensive line at Fresno State for four seasons (2012-15) and offensive line/tight ends at Nevada for 11 seasons (2001-11). A native of Ely, Nevada, Norcross earned a bachelor’s degree from Nevada in management.

The report of Norcross’ departure comes on the same day it is being reported that Louisiana Tech offensive coordinator Todd Fitch is “finalizing a deal” to be Derek Mason’s next offensive coordinator. Considering most offensive coordinators like to have a say in who will be their offensive line coach, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Norcross is leaving Nashville.

On Twitter, Norcross has started following UNLV players and Nevada-based high school prospects.
