This month has been great to Commodore Nation on the recruiting trail as Vanderbilt has picked up commit No. 9 in the month of June alone following the commitment of Maxwell Worship. The Florida defensive back announced his commitment to the program Thursday.

The 6-foot-1, 187-pound Fort Lauderdale native rates as a three-star prospect, the No. 71 safety and the No. 134 overall recruit from Florida according to 247Sports Composite Ratings. Worship currently has scholarship offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Iowa, Cincinnati and Kansas among several others.

Worship made his announcement via Twitter:

Vanderbilt now has 13 total commitments pledged to join the program in the 2018 recruiting cycle. The class currently ranks as the SEC’s fourth best and the nation’s No. 26 overall recruiting class.

Judging by his junior season highlight reel, Worship plays the game like a defensive back head coach Derek Mason strives to have all over his roster. His film is full of several outstanding plays featuring turnovers and overall disruptions of offensive gameplans. If Worship can transfer that type of intensity to college, he should fit well into the Commodore gameplan.
