Vanderbilt picked up its ninth commitment for the class of 2018 Wednesday afternoon in 3-star OL Wyatt Smock.

The Louisville, Kentucky, native is ranked as the the nation’s No. 44 OG and the state’s No. 5 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Smock boasted offers from Arkansas, Louisville and Kentucky, among others.

He became the first player from Kentucky to commit to Derek Mason and the Commodores in the 2018 recruiting class, as well as the second OL prospect.
