The Vanderbilt Commodores had themselves a day on Friday.

First, Georgia CB Tre Douglas committed to Vanderbilt over offers from Alabama and Ohio State, but they weren’t done. Safety Dashaun Jerkins (Woodbridge, Va.) also pulled the trigger for the Commodores at Vanderbilt’s “Friday Night Lights” camp.

The 3-star DB is rated as the No. 34 best safety in the nation and the state of Virginia’s No. 10 player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jerkins and Douglas became the first two DB commits for the Commodores this recruiting cycle, and they’re two good ones at that.

With the addition of 5-foot-11, 190-pound Jerkins, Vanderbilt now has 11 commits in the class of 2018.
