Vanderbilt lands four-star 2018 quarterback commitment
Vanderbilt landed a massive piece to its 2018 recruiting class on Friday afternoon.
Four-star QB Allan Walters announced on Twitter that he’d join up with coach Derek Mason and the Commodores in the 2018 season:
I am beyond excited and blessed to announce my commitment to Vanderbilt University! #Dynamite18 #AnchorDown ⚓️⬇️⚪️?⚫️ pic.twitter.com/7Ce4x6LY7f

According to 247Sports, Walters is the No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2017 and the No. 7 overall recruit in the state of New Jersey.
Walters was also recruited by Michigan, Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson, Texas A&M, Mizzou, Louisville, Tennessee and other top schools around the country.
Of course, in recent years, recruits have been changing their minds more often, so Vanderbilt still has a lot of work to do to hold off some of the elite programs. However, if Mason and his staff manage to keep Walters committed, it’ll be a huge addition to the Commodores program.
