Monday was a busy day for the Vanderbilt Commodores, as they made two additions to their 2018 recruiting class.

First, coach Derek Mason’s squad snagged a commitment from DE Lorenza Surgers, a 2-star prospect out of North Carolina.

Surgers announced his decision on Twitter on Monday afternoon, as you can see below:

According to the 247Sports composite, Surgers is the No. 128 weak-side defensive end in the 2018 class and the No. 75 overall recruit from the state of North Carolina.

Next up was a wide receiver from Alabama, as 3-star WR BJ Anderson announced he’d be heading to Nashville in 2018 on Monday evening:

According to the 247Sports composite, Anderson is the No. 197 receiver in the class of 2018 and the No. 47 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.

The Commodores now have 20 players in their 2018 class, which ranks No. 12 in the SEC and No. 37 nationally, per 247Sports.
