Tua Tagovailoa shares impressions of Mac Jones’ preseason, but remembers they’re division rivals

Former Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa is among those who have seen Mac Jones excel this preseason.
The most recent Alabama quarterback has impressed this preseason for the New England Patriots as he battles Cam Newton for the starting job.
“I haven’t texted Mac, I haven’t been able to talk to him since he’s been drafted,” Tagovailoa said earlier this week, per Bama OnLine. “I’ve seen them play. He’s doing pretty good. I hope when he does get the opportunity he makes the best of it. But you can’t wish him too much luck because we’re rivals in the same division. But I wish him the best of luck for sure.”
Those rivals won’t waste any time matching up against one another as Jones and Tagovailoa will see one another in Week 1 when the Dolphins travel to the Patriots for a 4:25 p.m. ET game.
