LSU was one of the charter members of the SEC back in 1932 and has provided plenty of wins ever since. The Tigers claim 4 national championships — 1958, 2003, 2007 and 2019. Four different coaches have won titles in Baton Rouge, coming in the following chronological order: Paul Dietzel, Nick Saban, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron.
The undefeated 2019 LSU squad is considered by many to be one of the best college football teams ever. The quarterback of that team, Joe Burrow, won the 2019 Heisman Trophy. Two other Tigers — Billy Cannon in 1959 and Jayden Daniels in 2023 — have won college football’s most prestigious award, too.
Going to Death Valley for a night game should be on the bucket list of every college football fan. The atmosphere can’t be beat.
