There may not be a more seasoned official in all the world than Alabama’s Eddie Conyers.
The 91-year-old Crimson Tide practice referee began his career working for the school back in the early 1960s working under Bear Bryant and he still works the team’s practices to this day. During a recent practice, which happened to land on Conyers’ 91st birthday, the team celebrated by singing him “Happy Birthday” and by giving him a cake.
