College GameDay is back on Saturday. The show is traveling across the pond to Dublin, Ireland, but that didn’t stop GameDay from carrying on its celebrity guest picker tradition.
ESPN announced Monday that Sheamus of WWE fame will be the first guest picker of the 2024 college football season.

GameDay’s big trip overseas marks the first time that the traveling college football pregame show will originate from outside the United States. College football’s Week 0 slate is headlined by the 2024 Aer Lingus Classic, featuring No. 10 Florida State taking on Georgia Tech (noon ET, ESPN).
Nick Saban is joining the GameDay crew in 2024. After announcing his retirement from coaching, the legendary head coach signed on with ESPN. This year, Saban has contributed to ESPN’s presentation of the NFL Draft and the SEC Network’s coverage of SEC Media Days.
Pat McAfee will also be back on GameDay. McAfee had stated his intent to return for the 2024 season, but as recently as June it was reported that he had not signed his contract to return to GameDay. Last month, McAfee posted a video to social media confirming his return to the traveling pregame show.
Rece Davis will kick off his 10th season as GameDay host in 2024. In addition to McAfee and Saban, Davis is set to be joined at the desk by returning analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Lee Corso.
