When one thinks of Virginia Tech football, Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” immediately comes to mind.
The legendary rock song creates one of the best entrances in college football, as Tech runs out of the tunnel to the song. If you have seen it, watch it here.
Anyway, Notre Dame came into Lane Stadium as the No. 6 team in the nation Saturday night, and the Irish delivered. Notre Dame thumped the Hokies 45-23. QB Ian Book threw for 271 yards and two TDs, while RB Dexter Williams torched Virginia Tech with 178 rushing yards and three TDs, averaging 10.5 yards per carry.
