The Georgia Bulldogs are headed to the national championship after taking down Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl in dramatic fashion.
An incredible year for the Dawgs and head coach Kirby Smart will continue as Georgia took down Oklahoma 54-48 in double OT. The Sooners dominated the first half and looked like they may run away with the score before Georgia turned things around in the second half.
It truly was an instant classic game, but the win is especially significant for Smart’s paycheck. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Smart will receive a $600,000 bonus for making an appearance in the national championship game.
A win in the national championship game would provide another bump to Smart’s bonus:
Georgia coach Kirby Smart gets a $600,000 bonus for his team playing in the national title game.
If the Bulldogs win, he will make an additional $400,000.

Georgia will have to wait and see if it will face Alabama or Clemson in the championship game on January 8. Either way, Smart is getting a nice payday.
