Jayden Daniels has been as good as any quarterback in the NFL through the fist 6 weeks, as he has the Washington Commanders in playoff contention in the NFC.

However, there was some bad news for Daniels after he left the game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury. Daniels was injured early in the game after going 2-for-2 with 6 yards.

While it is still unknown about his injury status, that was 1 question when he entered the NFL was whether or not he could handle and make it through an NFL season with his frame. With Daniels out, the Commanders had to go to another former Heisman trophy winning quarterback as former Oregon star Marcus Mariota came in to replace Daniels.

Through the team’s first 6 games, Daniels has thrown for 1,404 yards, 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Even more impressive, Daniels is leading the NFL by completing 75.2% of his passes.

The injury could loom large for NFL fans as the Commanders next weekend square off against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in a game featuring the top 2 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
