Derek Stingley Jr. is working his way back from foot surgery, and is targeting a Pro Day workout to show NFL scouts that he’s ready for the upcoming season.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Stingley has met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson 3 times, including once in Indianapolis.
“Dr. Anderson gave him the full clearance,” Rapoport reported. “He is now expected to be 100 percent, should work out and do everything at his Pro Day. So things are going well, rehab-wise.”

Anderson performed the Lisfranc surgery on Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne last season. He’s currently the Co-Chairman of the NFL’s Musculoskeletal Committee. He also currently serves as the assistant team physician to the Green Bay Packers, On3 Sports reported.
Stingley is widely expected to go at least by the middle of the first round of the April NFL Draft.
Stingley has shown to be one of the nation’s best corners when he is at full strength, but we haven’t seen him at that level since 2019. That year, he totaled 39 tackles, six interceptions and 15 passes defended across 15 games. Over ten games across the past two years, though, Stingley has 35 tackles with zero interceptions and five passes defended, and he had zero passes defended before his injury this past season.
