There will reportedly be a reunion of former Florida assistants at Georgia Tech. According to FootballScoop, Geoff Collins is set to hire Kerry Dixon as the new Yellow Jackets receivers coach. Both Collins and Dixon were on Jim McElwain’s staff at Florida.

Collins was the Gators defensive coordinator for the 2015 and ’16 seasons before leaving to take the Temple head coaching job.

Dixon left his position as FIU’s running backs coach to become UF’s wide receivers coach. He was on McElwain’s staff for all three seasons (2015-17), but was not retained by Dan Mullen. Dixon coached running backs at Toledo this past season.

McElwain himself is a head coach again at Central Michigan, but has not filled out his staff according to FootballScoop.
