It’s an all-white look with the team name and numbers in blue on the front of the jersey. The helmets are white as well with the familiar “UK” logo in blue, along with white pants with blue trim and white shoes.
After a 10-3 campaign in 2018, the most wins for a Kentucky football team since 1977, the Wildcats have slipped to a 4-5 mark in 2019 with program greats Benny Snell and Josh Allen now playing in the NFL. They have also been beset by injury, with wide receiver Lynn Bowden forced to step in at quarterback in place of starter Sawyer Smith before Bowden himself was hurt.
Regardless, a win on Saturday against the Commodores and a victory against either Tennessee-Martin next Saturday or Louisville in the Governor’s Cup rivalry game on Nov. 30 will put the Wildcats back in the postseason.
