Alcohol sales aren’t allowed in general seating areas in SEC stadiums (yet), but fans are able to consume alcohol in certain “premium” areas in stadiums.

On Wednesday, LSU announced that it was opening a 21-and-over addition to Tiger Stadium, and that it would be named “The Chute.”

According to a release from the school, alcohol can be consumed within that area, as well as food and other beverages:

Named after the tunnel used to enter and exit to the lockerroom at Tiger Stadium, admission to The Chute includes two beverages and is $20 a person. Additional beverages can be purchased for $6 inside the premium area. Food service in The Chute will be provided by Burgersmith, which will serve their menu items cooked fresh on-site from a food truck.

The release says “The Chute” will be open in time for LSU’s home opener against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Based on those reasonable prices, it could end up being a very popular area at Tiger Stadium.
