NBA fans are ripping ESPN analyst Chauncey Billups for his player comparisons during 2019 NBA Draft
By Adam Spencer
Published:
During the 2019 NBA Draft on ESPN, the network has had former NBA player Chauncey Billups providing analysis, including making comparisons for each of the draft picks.
However, after he compared Gonzaga big man Rui Hachimura to NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, fans had finally had enough. Hachimura and Leonard are similar in that they both play basketball, but that’s about as far as the comparisons go.
As you can see below, that comparison in particular led to many fans flocking to Twitter to blast him, saying he needs to do a bit more research before taking his opinions to live TV:
Chauncey Billups’ player comparisons are embarassing.

Chauncey Billups just compared Rui Hachimura to Kawhi. And to think people in MN were pissed we didn’t hire him as President of Basketball Ops

There’s still a long way to go in the first round, folks. Buckle up, because these comparisons could get a lot worse before they get better.
