Last year was a difficult one for former Texas A&M RB Christine Michael.

After finally earning an opportunity to be a featured back for the Seattle Seahawks, he was leading the team in carries with 117 and rushing yards with 469 when he was unexpectedly waived in November.

The Green Bay Packers picked him up off waivers, but he wasn’t as effective with his new team, finishing with just 31 carries and 114 yards in six games.

The Packers released Michael on May 1, but now — exactly one month later — he has a new NFL home with the Indianapolis Colts, who reportedly signed him on Thursday:

Michael likely won’t compete with current starter Frank Gore, but he’ll try to earn a spot as Gore’s backup in competition with Robert Turbin and rookie Marlon Mack.

If he can’t crack the Colts’ rotation, though, he could once again find himself looking for a new squad this summer.
