South Carolina is looking to pick up its first big win of the season Saturday as the Gamecocks travel to Knoxville to take on Tennessee.
On Tuesday, head coach Shane Beamer updated the status of a few injured players, including star WR Juice Wells.
And it’s still the same news. Wells will miss Week 5 against the Vols, still ailing from a foot injury he suffered against Georgia.
As far as others go, OL Jakai Moore did not practice Tuesday but should be “fine” by Saturday. Ahmarean Brown practiced Tuesday as well but did not receive any further update. Finally, reserve OL Ni Mansell, who transferred from Mercer, underwent season-ending surgery Sunday.
Juice Wells will not play this weekend, Beamer says. Ahmarean Brown is back, Jakai Moore still dealing with that shoulder but should be fine for this weekend.
Transfer o-lineman Ni Mansell suffered a season-ending injury Sunday, had surgery yesterday. Will be back next year.
