SEC men’s basketball continued on Saturday with an exciting slate of games. Tennessee outlasted Auburn in battle of ranked squads.
Alabama remained unbeaten in league play with a win at LSU. Kentucky continued its upward trend by taking down Florida.
Now that the first weekend of February is in the books, the standings are starting to take shape. Teams are more than halfway through SEC action, so every game from here on out is even more important.
Here’s a look at the updated SEC standings as of Sunday, Feb. 5:
- Alabama — 10-0 (20-3 overall)
- Tennessee — 8-2 (19-4 overall)
- Texas A&M — 8-2 (16-7 overall)
- Auburn — 7-3 (17-6 overall)
- Kentucky — 7-3 (16-7 overall)
- Florida — 6-4 (13-10 overall)
- Mizzou — 5-5 (17-6 overall)
- Arkansas — 5-5 (16-7 overall)
- Georgia — 4-6 (14-9 overall)
- Vanderbilt — 4-6 (11-12 overall)
- Mississippi State — 3-7 (15-8 overall)
- LSU — 1-9 (12-11 overall)
- Ole Miss — 1-9 (9-14 overall)
- South Carolina — 1-9 (8-15 overall)
League play resumes on Tuesday and Wednesday around the SEC. We’ll see which teams take another step toward the top of the standings this week and which stumble toward the finish line.
