Diego Pavia led Vanderbilt to an improbable win over No. 1 Alabama on Saturday night in Nashville.

Immediately after the clock ticked to 0:00, Pavia joined SEC Network’s Alyssa Lang for an on-field interview. Pavia was understandably fired up after the historic win.

In the middle of the interview, Pavia took a moment to appreciate his surroundings and let out a couple of expletives throughout what was an emotionally-charged conversation. Here’s video from the wild scene in Nashville:

Pavia was sensational in this win for Vanderbilt. He went 16-for-20 for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns while not turning the ball over. He also carried the ball a staggering 20 times for 56 yards in the win.

Perhaps the most important element of Vanderbilt’s upset victory was its performance on third down. Led by Pavia, Vandy converted 12-of-18 third-down attempts on the night. He also threw a 36-yard touchdown pass on a 4th-and-1 opportunity in the second half.

Vanderbilt will face Kentucky next weekend.
