With multiple reports stating that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is heading to FAU to become a head coach, LSU may be left looking for another offensive coordinator.
Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron has not been shy about his desire to add Kiffin to his staff. But if he’s off the table, Orgeron will need to regroup quickly.
One name has already begun to pop up, and it’s someone who is a very interesting possibility. Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Matt Canada is reportedly meeting with Orgeron sometime in the next 24 hours.
#Pitt's Matt Canada, the only OC who was a finalist for Broyles Award, is expected to meet w/ #LSU tomorrow. Would be a huge get for Tigers

Aside from having a pretty cool name, Canada has a proven track record. With stops at Indiana, Wisconsin and Pittsburgh under his belt, Canada is familiar with life as a coordinator in the FBS.
He engineered a Top 10 offense at Pitt this season, when the Panthers averaged 42.3 points per game and nearly 450 yards of offense.
Can confirm as @RossDellenger reported yesterday Matt Canada is very much in play for LSU OC. Should have answer in 24-48 hours we’re told
