New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Matt Flynn, LSU’s starter during their 2007 national title campaign under Les Miles, supported the Tigers coach on Wednesday.

Several reports indicate the team is prepared to part ways with Miles, who’s been the program’s coach since 2005. According to ESPN, a source said Tuesday that a decision likely wouldn’t be made until after LSU’s game against Texas A&M this Saturday.

Flynn went 19-for-27 passing, 174 yards, 4 touchdowns and an interception against the Buckeyes in the BCS National Championship Game.

He’s now in his eighth season in the NFL, having played for the Packers, Seahawks, Raiders and Bills before joining the Saints this season.
