A coaching change at Maryland may have four-star quarterback commit Dwayne Haskins Jr. re-opening his recruitment. And recently that exploration took Haskins to Baton Rouge.

ESPN reports the Maryland native will take an official visit to LSU on Jan. 15. He has not officially, publicly de-committed and re-opened his recruiting. The writing seems to be on the wall he is looking at his options again.

It would appear Haskins began to waver some on Maryland after the Terrapins fired Randy Edsall earlier this year. D.J. Durkin was hired as his replacement.

Haskins is related to LSU freshman cornerback Kevin Toliver II. NOLA.com reported the two families were discussing Haskins’ recruitment and were talking about LSU.

247Sports ranks Haskins as the seventh best pro-style quarterback in the country. Among the other schools he considered before his commitment were Florida, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
