Texas A&M landed commit No. 9 for the 2017 recruiting class on Thursday morning, landing 3-star athlete Deboine Renfro out of Pearland (TX). Coach Kevin Sumlin tweeted out his marquee “#YESSIR!” on Twitter, and then 247Sports’ Brian Perroni confirmed the news:

Renfro, who is listed as a 3-star prospect and the No. 167 recruit in the state of Texas, plays wide receiver and corner for his high school team but is expected to play defense full-time at the college level. He chose the Aggies over East Carolina, Indiana, Louisiana Tech, SMU, Texas Tech, and UTSA.

Texas A&M now has the nation’s No. 20-ranked recruiting class, which is good for No. 6 in the SEC.
