LSU reportedly close to hiring new offensive coordinator

LSU has been linked to Pitt offensive coordinator Matt Canada for a few days now, but nothing has been made official just yet.
With Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin recently accepting an offer to coach Florida Atlantic, LSU is expected to hire Canada for the position on coach Ed Orgeron’s staff soon, according to FOX Sports reporter Bruce Feldman:

After working with star RB James Conner at Pitt the past year, Canada should have the offensive acumen necessary to make Derrius Guice an even bigger star for the Tigers.
Revitalizing the LSU passing offense is another story, though. Purdue transfer QB Danny Etling will be back, however, which should give Canada and his potential offense some continuity heading into the 2017 season.
