With star RBs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel returning to Georgia for their senior seasons, a loaded freshman class in Elijah Holyfield and Brian Herrien and a top incoming 2017 back in D’Andre Swift, the Bulldogs’ backfield is going to be loaded for the foreseeable future.

That is a problem for four-star 2017 recruit Toneil Carter, who has been committed to Georgia since July.

On Monday morning, Carter announced he was reopening his recruiting process via Twitter:

The four-star Texas native indicated that since Chubb and Michel are staying, it affected his ability to enroll at the school early.

According to 247Sports, Carter is the No. 7 running back in the class of 2017 and the No. 21 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

Carter was also recruited by LSU, Texas A&M and Texas, among other top programs.
