There’s no need to worry over concerns of Trevor Knight’s playing status for the Texas Bowl. After injuring his shoulder against Mississippi State in early November, Knight missed both the Ole Miss and UTSA games before returning for the Thanksgiving Day season finale against LSU, the Aggies senior expects to play in the Texas Bowl.

Knight managed to complete only 14 of 30 throws against LSU and appeared to be ailing from his shoulder injury. However, the senior quarterback exclaimed he is “absolutely” prepared to play in what will be his final college football game when Texas A&M (8-4) takes on Kansas State (8-4) on Dec. 28.

In 10 games with the Aggies in 2016, Knight has completed 163-of-314 (51.9 percent) pass attempts for 2,122 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He’s also produced a career-high 594 yards and 10 more scores as a dual-threat quarterback.

Texas A&M went 7-3 in those appearances.

The Texas Bowl will begin at 9 p.m. ET on Dec. 28 and can be watched on ESPN.
