Former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott has had an incredible rookie season in Dallas, leading the Cowboys to a 13-3 record after returning starter Tony Romo went down in preseason. There’s now statistical proof that it is one of the best first seasons for a quarterback in NFL history.

Prescott saw limited action in Dallas’ season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles, which the Cowboys lost (27-13). He went 4-of-8 passing for 37 yards. The majority of work went to backup Mark Sanchez, who was 9-of-17 for 85 yards with 2 interceptions. Prescott will return to a full workload in the upcoming playoffs.
