There were seven games last season that featured at least one SEC team as the marquee matchup for the ESPN College GameDay destination. That included three neutral site games, including Green Bay, Wisc.; Bristol, Tenn.; and the national championship in Tampa, Fla.

The marquee Saturday morning college football preview show likes to spread the wealth and, in fact, has visited every SEC football venue in its more than two decade history. The show’s three favorite SEC destinations are Tuscaloosa (16 times), Gainesville and College Station (12 each).

As the show has expanded to lower levels of college football in recent years, and to destinations involving the military academies, it is increasingly difficult to match the locale with a standard bearer game of the week. But for the diehard fans who arrive pre-dawn, in some cases holding signs with the corniest of puns, to the ones who remember the end-of-show predictions late into the night as their team makes a field-rushing upset, the GameDay destination choice at your school is one to remember.

Here are the last visits to each SEC town:

Athens

Sept. 28, 2013, the Bulldogs held off LSU 44-41 in one of the more memorable games of that season.

Auburn

The Kick Six game, also known as the improbable 34-28 comeback win against Alabama, came on Nov. 30, 2013. But not even the most dramatic slow-zoom Tom Rinaldi feature could have foreshadowed this ending.

Baton Rouge

Nov. 5, 2016, vs. Alabama, a defensive struggle won by the Crimson Tide 10-0.

College Station

A double-overtime victory won by the hosts over Tennessee, 45-38, on Oct. 8, 2016 helped the Aggies start 6-0.

Columbia, Mo.

Though it was pre-SEC for the Tigers, the memorable finish over Oklahoma, 36-27, came on Oct. 23, 2010, and ended when fans rushed the field with a play remaining. It also meant Missouri started 7-0.

Columbia, S.C.

Down by nearly three touchdowns late, Missouri ultimately won 21-20 over the host Gamecocks on Sept. 27, 2014 behind a big game from Russell Hansbrough.

Fayetteville

ESPN has made only one visit to Fayetteville for GameDay, to preview the Tennessee game on Nov. 11, 2006. That was when Darren McFadden had a big game, including two rushing touchdowns and a passing TD, in a 31-14 victory.

Gainesville

The Will Muchamp-coached Gators used four touchdown passes by Jeff Driskel to upend the Steve Spurrier-led Gamecocks 44-11 on Oct. 20, 2012.

Knoxville

The prelude to ending The Streak came on Sept. 24, 2016 before the Vols beat Florida 38-28. Joshua Dobbs played a part in five touchdowns after halftime.

Lexington

Tim Tebow outdueled Andre Woodson in a 45-37 Florida victory over Kentucky on Oct. 20, 2007.

Nashville

Behind Mackenzi Adams, Vanderbilt beat Auburn 14-13 on Oct. 4, 2008 as the Commodores improved to 5-0 and 3-0 in the SEC.

Oxford

Thanks to 13 fourth-quarter points, Ole Miss knocked off Alabama, 23-17, on Oct. 4, 2014 to start 5-0 on the season.

Starkville

Not that there needed to be another excuse to clang the cowbells, but Dak Prescott provided one more reason as he had three touchdowns and the Bulldogs knocked off Auburn 38-23 on Oct. 11, 2014.

Tuscaloosa

The Crimson Tide used scoring from its defense to make a comeback against Texas A&M, which led 14-13 in the third quarter, on Oct. 22, 2016. Once it got going, the Tide rolled, 33-14.
