If Alabama coach Nick Saban thinks every positive story the media writes about his team is “rat poison,” then perhaps he’ll be happy with the newest S&P+ rankings.
That’s because the Crimson Tide are no longer No. 1, losing the top spot to a one-loss Ohio State team.
Now at No. 2, Alabama is still the SEC’s top team in the post-Week 6 rankings, but the Tide are joined by two other SEC squads in the top 10, as you can see below:
- No. 2 — Alabama
- No. 5 — Georgia
- No. 9 — Auburn
- No. 25 — LSU
- No. 28 — Mississippi State
- No. 41 — Florida
- No. 44 — Texas A&M
- No. 46 — Arkansas
- No. 56 — Tennessee
- No. 64 — Ole Miss
- No. 66 — South Carolina
- No. 72 — Vanderbilt
- No. 75 — Kentucky
- No. 88 — Mizzou
The entire rankings can be found here. Interestingly, Clemson isn’t even in the top four of the updated S&P+ standings.
